When I was speaking at the United Tea Party of Georgia in Cumming last week, I met some interesting people who had some interesting things to offer. Here is one of them:
Pass the Torch of Liberty – a video course by Bob Christensen
Wednesday evenings May 3-24 (4 weeks), 7:30-9:00 @ Perimeter Midtown Auditorium
The course is a tool to enable productive conversations about America with people of diverse backgrounds and political views. Our purpose is to help you to “Pass the torch of liberty” to friends, family and associates. Bring some friends to the class – everyone is welcome, especially young people (18+) and people of different races, religions and political affiliations.
The course is about the idea of America – who are we and who do we want to be as a free nation? It’s about the deep divide running through our country, and it’s about how to come together to bridge that divide. What do we need to make democracy durable and sustainable through many generations? Much of the content of the course is derived from the book “If You Can Keep It, The Forgotten Promise of American Liberty” by Eric Metaxas.
Each week we will watch 2 short video lessons from the online course www.PassTheTorchOfLiberty.com. After each video, small groups will discuss 5-10 questions on the lesson topic.
Visit the website www.PassTheTorchOfLiberty.com for more information about the course. If you can’t make it on Wednesday evenings, please register and take the course online – anytime that is convenient. Total course time online is approximately 2.5 hours. The online course is free. Then you can download the videos and use them in small groups or with family and friends.

I registered for the online course. It certainly can’t hurt and it just may help to wake some people up. Thanks for making it available.
